[Ren kind of knows he's about to die for this, but like, it's fine. Regardless, he's dressed, his knife is nearby in case he really needs it, and tries to look soooooo cool in one of the chairs around the room. Much to both of their inevitably dismay, the spring rooms are... well, exactly what you'd expect them to be. Colorful. Comfortable. Encouraging some good cuddle time.
That's not what's coming. But Ren can dream for a second before he gets stabbed.]

[Oh. Oh, did he fucking die? Did Akechi already shoot him and he's in some purgatory and doesn't remember it? Is this some fae trick? Shit. Oh my god. Ren almost doesn't realize he's shifting as soon as Akechi sits, moving a hand to support the small of his back, until he's already done it and if he makes a bigger deal then this whole scene might crumble into dust.
Can Akechi tell his heart is beating faster? Probably. Shit.]
I swear, I didn't say anything to anyone. I mean, I-- I've talked about you, but not like that.
[He shrugs, just a little.]
Maybe someone saw us at the tavern?

[Oh nevermind, everything makes way more sense now.
He feels almost swept away with that little look, the moment of curling in towards him, that Ren thinks maybe there's some sort of elaborate joke being played here. But the sudden movement, the prick of pain to the soft part of his neck that forces him not to swallow, suddenly everything is back in focus. Nevermind, it's Akechi. There's no way it couldn't be.]
Akechi. I swear. I had nothing to do with-- someone's making a joke, but it wasn't me. You can be angry at me, but I didn't start that.
[Ren keeps himself very still, his hand still around Akechi's waist, the other hovering somewhere off to the side by the chair's arm or his knee. If he needed to, he could probably jab something into the soft part of Akechi's side, but as it stands now whatever-it-is he has on his neck would go straight up and into his skull. So he's... going to try and avoid that.]

[This is one of those moments where Ren knows there is something so fundamentally wrong with him. Because despite the pain, and the blood running down to the collar of his shirt, and the fact that he could die in a very painful way right now, this is-- this is kind of hot? This is kind of hot. Akechi is warm and shifting ever-so-slightly over his lap, and at least twenty percent of his current stillness is because he is terrified he's about to become visibly aroused. Hell, Akechi only leaves his eyes to see the blood, and Ren bites the inside of his lip quietly as he thinks about Akechi's tongue on him, what he would taste like, and--
God. Shit. Not now, you cannot do this now, he chides himself. Pull it together or you're actually going to die here.
So when Akechi's eyes meet his again, he's got more resolve- more of that stare that would greet Akechi behind Joker's mask in the Metaverse, the one that challenges him across a billiard table, the one that sees him, always him, and none of his posturing outside.]
I told you that you could trust me. And I mean it. I'm not lying to you.

[There's a flash of a thought in his mind that this Isn't Akechi for a second, that this is some elaborate fae trick that is here to beat his ass for sport, or it's Narciso again somehow and he's about to lose his mind. But it matters little when he can do more than see with his eyes; those fae can mimic a lot, but he doubts they would know how to replicate the feeling of his Persona, the way that signature of each other reaches out. On one hand, it's reassuring- this is absolutely, without a doubt, Goro Akechi.
But on the other hand, that man just tasted his blood and Ren is absolutely, positively certain he is hard right now, so as soon as Akechi gets up he (convincingly, he hopes) sits himself up and crosses his legs like this is incredibly, super normal and he is being so normal about it.]
Why not in the common area? People might not see it outside of your room. Unless it's just a secret for us.
[... did he just imply he'd be going to akechi's room?
shit.]

I learned that my roommate is half mutant spider. The blacksmith man, Tony, is making me a rapier and if he finds gunpowder will make a rifle too.
My roommate is Loki, and I will be painting his portrait sometime soon. I also noticed my weapons are real, but beyond my initial observations from the party, I haven't found much more. Well, other than an amusing selection of fae literature as coffee table books. And a teleporting turtle, but that is neither here nor there.
He told me he got bit by a spider and now has spider powers. He climbed onto the ceiling to show me!
I didn't come with any weapons! But Tony is making me some. Him and his Doctor Strange friend are searching the library for information. I'm also cooking him food as payment.
Not sure honestly? Maybe not half spider, but he has spider powers.
Do we have anything about the Court heads?
Do we have anything about the Court heads?
Well, because I didn't allow him to get ingredients, I asked him to pay it forward and let someone else benefit from my repaying him too much.
